Who is Restored Lives for?

Anyone who needs help recovering from divorce and separation, or the breakdown of any serious relationship.

How will I benefit?

The course supports and empowers you to move forward from a relationship breakdown to live a full life, free from past issues.

It provides practical help, covering communication, letting go, children and legal matters.

Whatever your situation, background or belief, it gives you emotional and practical support in a safe, non-judgemental environment.

Who developed the course?

It has been developed by divorcees and professionals at Holy Trinity Brompton (HTB).

When and where will the course be run?

It's a six session course run by Rev. Mike Saunders and Charlotte Kaye. It will take place at the vicarage in Hungerford on Wednesday evenings. There will be a maximum of 8 attendees.

Course dates will be announced when sufficient numbers have signed up.

Bereavement Journey

Who is the Bereavement Journey for?

Working through grief and the loss of a loved one takes a long time. The course is for any person who is bereaved, whether recently or dating back several years. Based on Christian principles, the course is suitable for anyone with or without a Christian faith.

Attendance is not advisable for those who have been bereaved within the past three months.

What does the Bereavement Journey cover?

  • Attachment, separation and loss
  • Death in our culture
  • The pain of grief
  • Adjusting to change
  • The faith perspective

Each evening begins with supper, followed by short talks interspersed with opportunities for discussion in small groups.

Marriage Preparation

What is the aim of the course?

The aim of the Marriage Preparation Course is to help couples lay the foundations for a relationship that will last a lifetime.

During the course, you will discover practical tools to help you build the foundations for a lasting marriage. We look at:

  • the importance of commitment
  • the art of communication
  • resolving conflict
  • making each other feel loved
  • the importance of talking about your goals, values and dreams

The format is very relaxed, comprising of short talks interspersed with exercises and questions for you to discuss as a couple (and at no time in the course will you have to disclose anything personal to anyone else).

Who is the course for?

The course is based on Christian principles but is suitable for people with or without a church background. It is for any engaged couple who want to work at having the best possible start to their marriage.

We strongly recommend you make every effort to attend as those who have done so in the past have found it very beneficial.

When and where will the course be run?

The course is run by Rev. Mike Saunders once a year at the vicarage in Hungerford, usually in February, Saturday - and Sunday - . We can accommodate up to 12 people on the course.

Money Management

Who is the money management course for?

Anyone who wants to get more in control of their finances.

What will I learn?

You will be taught budgeting skills and a simple, cash-based system that works. In just a few weeks, you will get to grips with your finances so you can budget, save and prevent debt.

Whether you feel pretty organised or whether it's like a lucky dip every time you try to withdraw cash from your account, this course will help you take complete control of your finances.
