Remembering our loved ones

I would like to invite you to join us as for All Souls Day when we remember our loved ones who have passed away on Sunday 31 October at 6.00pm in church. Over the last two years 122,000 people have passed away from Covid in England and of those 266 have been here in West Berkshire.

All Souls Day is the traditional time to look back and say “Thank you” for our happy memories. There will be an opportunity to come to the front of the church to light a candle and then I will read out the names of those we are remembering. It is a quiet and reflective service and a lovely peaceful way to remember.

Then starting the following week we will be starting The Bereavement Journey Course on Wednesday 3 November. By popular demand this course will run twice, once at 10.00am OR if you prefer at 7.30pm. Both courses will be held at The Vicarage, Parsonage Lane RG17 0JB. This six session course offers us some language to help us talk about our loss and helps us to understand how we grow stronger when we embrace our loss and that we can carry our happy memories with us into the future. It really is a good course.
